Clark Plexico has been an elected State Senator, served as corporate State President, international non-profit CEO, Country Director, and President of his own international real estate company and international consulting company.  He also understands that those positions were just titles, and that leadership is not based on titles, but has to be earned. Management titles are granted by authority, but leadership is granted by those being led. This is one of the underlying principles of his leadership development seminars and presentations.

Mr Plexico believes leadership development can occur only when a person understands themselves, others, systems and authority. Believing that being comfortable with being “good” at what they do keeps a person from becoming “great”, his presentations and seminars challenge participants to find their uniqueness and their purpose.

Clark Plexico has worked with hundreds of emerging leaders from over thirty countries on leadership development, and in creating leadership networks throughout Eurasia, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and North America.

Mr. Plexico is a founder of the Central Eurasia Leadership Academy (CELA), an ambitious, multicultural initiative, promoting regional cooperation and fostering the development of tomorrow’s most forward-thinking, mid-career leaders in the Caucasus, Central Asia, Afghanistan and Mongolia. He is also one of the original facilitators of the academy and has been involved with CELA since 2002.

From the success of CELA, two other leadership academies have been started: the Middle East Leadership Academy (MELA) for emerging leaders throughout the Middle East; and the Southeast Asia Leadership Academy (SEALA) for such leaders throughout South and Southeast Asia. At various times, Mr. Plexico has served as facilitator and/or faculty member for all three academies.
